Melvin L. Musick, Ed.D. is principal consultant at Los Angeles-based Organizational Concepts, a multidisciplinary team of professional consultants specializing in designing and implementing evaluative inquiries of organizational initiatives. Dr. Musick has successfully used collaborative and multidisciplinary techniques to evaluate local, regional, and national programs.
Melvin holds a B.A., Hamline University; M.S., CSULA; Ed.D., Pepperdine University. His professional memberships include the American Evaluation Association (AEA), Academy of Management (AOM), and Organizational Development Network (OD). His professional experience includes management positions in government, foundations, business, and nonprofit organizations.
The CSULA faculty selected Melvin for membership in the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi. He is a trained community organizer, and graduate of Leadership Southern California (CORO) and Stanford University-based United Way Academy of Management. His interests cover methods to capture the "full story" of organizational initiatives; the political socialization of young people, and strategies that foster social justice and change.
